Opening today comes the latest from up and coming director Damien Chazelle (Whiplash) about the hopeful dreams and crushing realities of two souls finding themselves in LA. Sebastian (Ryan Gosling) is a jazz musician with aspirations of owning his own club. Mia (Emma Stone) is a struggling actress seeking that one big break which will put her on the map. After a chance encounter with each other they form a deep bond, but their creative ambition comes between the two. Echoing the classic musicals of Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire, La La Land is full of musical flair because of its two leads and sure handed craftsmanship.
