A god-forsaken mixed up gig. KTB is the duo of Bugs And Rats’ Shawnie Brando and Guerilla Toss’ Arian Shafiee. It is a bit gruesome especially for a two-some, dominating your ears with a crushing, pulsing drum-machine and free-tom foundation to support a wild, squealing grudge match between the most unique vocals and guitar riffs you have ever heard. You will then be bludgeoned by those wicked locals NICE GUYS’ high energy, nasty ROCK which is a totally therapeutic experience for those who dont know yet (get with the program). To ease us into the brutality will be mysterious bag-of-tricks noise crew SCUM which you might recognize if you scrape the bottom of your shoes after walking around JP but not in any fancy music mag or anything. Then there’s GOBBY – highly prolific, extremely unpredictable DFA recording artist who happens to be from and currently live in brookline who will walk over to deep thoughts (or ask me for a ride) with his electronic drum kit and some sort of Mp3 trigger to deliver his deranged beats and practically pop music ditties to YOU. Come.
