JONATHAN BERGER: AN INTRODUCTION TO NAMELESS LOVE @ THE CARPENTER CENTER

Thu, Oct 17 2019 - Tue, Dec 29 2020

Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts (Harvard U)

Right now, the Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts at Harvard University is hosting An Introduction to Nameless Love, a sculpture exhibition featuring the work of Jonathan Berger.  Berger was inspired by the phenomenon of relationships that defy typical roles and nomenclature.  For this undertaking, the artist interviewed multiple subjects on their experiences with nameless love, and then, through practices “borrowed from antiquated forms of metalsmithing, interior architecture, and vernacular typography,” turned his subjects’ words into large-scale metal sculptures.  Berger’s work can be found on floors 1 and 3 of the Carpenter Center until 12/29.
