Gabriel Birnbaum is a multi-instrumentalist and composer living in Brooklyn, New York. He has performed on stage and on record with artists such as Sharon Van Etten, Mutual Benefit, Khaira Arby, Rodriguez, Jens Lekman and Lady Lamb the Beekeeper at venues like Lincoln Center, Bonnaroo, MOMA, Roskilde Festival, The Kennedy Center, The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, and the Ojai Music Festival. He is a full time member of the Ethiopian pop ensemble Debo Band, and the songwriter behind critically lauded urban americana band Wilder Maker and a forthcoming solo project under his own name .He has been an artist in residence at both the ISLAND Hill House and Wildacres Retreat.
