Brace your brain AND heart for this cathartic night of song and improv from some of the most virtuosic performers your ears and eyes ever tried to explicate. We’d be surprised to see any electronics or effect pedals here. We’re talking raw technical skill on a multitude of stringed instruments. On guitars we have Eric Arn and Margaret Unknown. Currently based in Austria, Arn will be pairing up with Margaret Unknown, German self-proclaimed empathoharmonical improvisor, to create complex, mentally stimulating improv grooves that will leave you mind-blown. We also have Boston Hassle favorite Wendy Eisenberg coming in to redefine guitar playing per-usual with local upright bassist Damon Smith. Both influenced by American free-jazz and a wide spectrum of contemporary music, a bubbling concoction of warped licks, timbrel annihilation and polyrhythmic sweetness is sure to be stewing up! Dialing it back just a bit is another local legend Rob Noyes. His jangling guitar compositions bleed Americana and blues but scream with an inner-catharsis that only Noyes can birth from his fleeting fingers. Come re-conceptualize any thoughts you had on guitar playing…and music for that matter!
