The first session of For The People – Boston’s study series on Marx’ Capital and the revolutionary analytic of historical and dialectical materialism.

Our discussion will focus on Chapter 7: “The Object of Political Economy,” from Louis Althusser’s essay, ‘The Object of Capital,’ (in ‘Reading Capital’) and Capital Part 1, Chapter 1: Commodities.

We will be using the Fowkes translation of Capital, linked below.
