Cannibal Holocaust

Fri, Sep 16 2016 11:55 pm

$11.25

A family favorite that’s adored by animal activists everywhere, the most notorious of the exploitation cannibal sub-genre  still packs a punch, and not just for the gore. The very first of the “found footage” films, the story follows NYU professor Harold Monroe (Robert Kerman) tracking down a lost team of documentarians who went missing searching for a reclusive cannibal tribe in the Amazon. What he does find is the unedited film reels they left behind, where they don’t leave a good impression of either party. WARNING: For those interested in horror or Golden Age sleazy cinema Cannibal Holocaust is a classic, but the animal cruelty (like others of its genre) is disturbingly real and not for the feint of heart. But if you do decide to go you’ll watch something with more on its mind than just shocks.
