Bubble Teeth, Good News (NYC), Thighs, Muddy Wires

Flyer by Alexis Brinkman
8pm All Ages $7-$10 suggested
Oh what do we have here? A first thursday (temporary) reality rift. An opportunity for those looking to become somewhat more
attuned with the Boston underground, and courtesy of the visitors, a slice of the the NYC underground as well.
Yes, GOOD NEWS hails from the big apple, but to make assumptions on the state of that city based upon the sounds
that these 3 bring with them, the apple sounds troubled. GOOD NEWS brings a rock off-kilter, gets into your head with
that stuff, and then, bang, before you know it, you’re off-kilter too. Noiser rock but not hard boiled ya know? A porous noise rock.
BUBBLE TEETH we can only wonder and pray and hope and dream, but to know that this new band includes members of
new basement killers BIRTHDAY ASS, and pedigree’d basement killer BIRTHING HIPS (RIP), well it is OK to have faith.
MUDDY WIRES is James Staub and he’s been making strange electronic sounds for sometime around Boston. He has a brand new
eletroacoustic batch of tunes called Hemispheres which you ought to check out. This is the record release for that album.
Lastly, on the bill is a band that sound as if they are kicking the corpse of FLIPPER while performing fake CPR on the corpse of Beck (circa Mellow Gold). Thighs they are called, and it’s really just too bad. All that (no bag of chips included) going down in Fields Corner @ your favorite DAP.
