Sean Maloney is a Boston-based, Nashville-trained music critic and arts journalist. His work has appeared in The Boston Globe, Nashville Scene and New York Magazine. He enjoys surfing, Sun Ra and Situationist cinema but isn’t afraid to dig a Top 40 tune if it’s got a hip beat.

Maura Johnston is a writer and editor who teaches at Boston College. She has written for The New York Times, The Boston Globe, Time, Billboard and Rolling Stone. Her byline also appeared in a number of publications that have succumbed to 21st-century industry tumult.
