Holy American dirt music has been kicking against the pricks for years gone by. These days, when the worst among us have taken our highest towers, special riders have lit out with sounds carried by their bodies from the days of very long walls that divided no one. These riders parcel the relentless sobriety of redwood abysms and Marrakeshi minarets, surrendering all hope and summoning a new age on the back of daydreamt drones for you, child of woman, child of microtones, child of dead nations.

Boston Hassle presents an evening when you can know your riders. Fresh off the 1000rose.org festival, breakout steel-string guitarists Will Csorba and Joseph Allred will bring to bear their American Primitive magic of the splintered Fahey doctrinaire. Will’s Fossil Lickers accompanists complete his reach for Appalachian and hillside fiddle wildness. Allred’s total sound is perhaps the truest holy transport available on the instrument in our time. Ash & Herb are the preeminent Psych Age dronestars of these parts and bring the heavy electricity. Intricate 12-string guitarcomber and driver’s wheel Eli Winter kicks it all at 8pm.
