You might call W00DY one of Boston’s best kept electronic music secrets, but shouldn’t people know about W00DY by now? (Answer: they should). The Timberdoodle EP is a colorful collection of experimental-pop beats and cleverly placed samples, accentuated by W00DY’s rich, sinewy vocals. Deep, dancy grooves give way to ethereal melodies. My favorite is the funky and beat-laden lead track, “1 Year”. But, not surprisingly, all tracks are worth a good listen.
