TONIGHT! Weirdo Records, longtime supporters of the strange and one of the best record stores this side of the great divide, are hosting veteran Boston underground rockers: Royal Wedding. Between the warbly vocals, haunted house melodies, sparse but upbeat drums and invocation of styles past- this trio’s lo-fi sound is like rockabilly as done by a posse of ghosts. Short, concise post-punk infused headbobbers driven by hypnotic repetition mingle with lengthier depressive odes, all tinted with an understated but definitive dissonance. Their short five-track EP Mysterious Powers dropped last February, and it’s a damn fine listen so be sure to check it out and lend these guys your support.  It might be a rainy night so bring your umbrellas and rain boots!
