A psych-pop band without overtly being such, Sore Eros is one strange bird of some kind of pop band. Esoteric in song structure, melody and sound their songs haunt you. And I have been haunted and confused as to what exactly this haunting feeling is. Is it the memory, that is lodged somewhere deep in the dark recesses of their songs, the memory of their influences, before they twisted and turned whatever it is that influenced them back in on itself? Is that what it is? Definitely pop, but stoned pop, queasy pop, and at times just lovely pop.
