KING KRULE – “Easy Easy”

by

Video is from a bunch of months back, and he’s already come through Boston, so we missed that chance to post something about him. As to all that, in the end I always seem to come back to the same idea: who cares? Good is good. So we post his video now. KING KRULE is another British singer/ songwriter exploding across American mountain, plains, and shores. I’ve loved his sad tunes ever since I first heard his strange young croon a couple years back on a s/t EP. And it’s kind of shocking that he’s catapulted to some kind of stardom with that voice that I thought only an underground show mother could love. But good for him. He’s got something to say and here on “Easy Easy” he’s saying it. And I haven’t analyzed it too hard, but you have to appreciate this 19 year old’s approach to writing songs about relationships, especially when you place it in the context of, like the world of pop-punk or whatever other garbage, that most people (of any age really) traffic in when doing the same. 6 FEET BENEATH THE MOON is KING KRULE‘s debut full length, and it’s been out for a while.
