Olympia’s radioactive rock trio NAOMI PUNK  rolled into Allston last week to play a sparsely attended show at O’brien’s Pub. Though few heads showed, the band played a bludgeoning and tightly wound ripper. The trio of Travis Coster (guitar, voice), Neil Gregerson (other guitar, no voice) and Nick Luempert (drum kit) are currently touring the states in support of their new record TELEVISION MAN, pressed on CAPTURED TRACKS last month. They’ve shared some recent east coast dates with Hassle favorites PC WORSHIP. We got a chance to step into the group’s touring vessel for a pow wow, ruminating on anything and everything from misconceptions about the band’s hometown, the countercultural importance of Tumwater, WA cult favorites KARP, missing yellow jackets and aliens. The entire interview can be streamed below via Youtube.
