(8/31) NOIR ALL NIGHT

by

This evening beginning at 7 o’clock make your way to Cambridge as the Harvard Film Archive presents a special event where cynical detectives and double crossing femme fatales are celebrated. Throughout the night various film noirs from the genre’s golden era will be screened in marathon lasting until dawn. Being shown are mandatory classics as well as more obscure titles from the 40s and 50s, in their highly stylish lighting, giving a very different perspective of America’s post-war optimism. And of course, all the films will be able to be viewed in glorious 35mm. So don a fedora and light up a cigarette, because life is about sordid and morality is either grey or doesn’t exist at altogether.
