The follow-up to DARWIN’S NIGHTMARE — Hubert Sauper’s award-winning cautionary tale about the ill-guided importation of wildlife into incompatible ecosystems — is another document of hubris and exploitation, this time in South Sudan, an infant nation (born in 2011) preyed upon by would-be and actual oil barons from China and the West.
