SF garage-rock legend & multi-instrumentalist Ty Segall has released so many records in the last eight years that he qualifies as a garage-rock revival movement all by himself. He has released so many records that Wikipedia links him to TEN DIFFERENT RECORD LABELS. TEN. The scary part, though, is not the number of records, but the fact that they are all good. Touring in support of his ninth LP, “Emotional Mugger,” Segall is bringing his new backing band, The Muggers (feat. members of King Tuff and Wand), to the Royale for a show that promises all the fuzz, chill, and glory that Segall fans will know and love, plus a baby-face mask and a new alter-ego called Sloppo. Longtime Segall collaborator Charles Moothart joins with his new solo project CFM, supporting his upcoming debut full-length, and local Fuzzstival veterans Midriffs fit right in with their psychedelic blend of garage rock, surf, and punk.
