Brace yourself for maximum rock, Screaming Females are playing in Allston at the head of a procession of bands of the venerable DC label Don Giovanni. If you haven’t seen this New Jersey trio live yet, here’s your chance to hear and see their powerful, squelching punk in person and Marissa Paternoster’s already legendary guitar playing. The furious, fearless hardcore Priests play prior, they whose debut album commanded a following of the weird and political in 2014. Opening are Tenement, a thrumming Don Giovanni Records band with a strong grunge sound and Vacation, whose psychedelic veneer conceals a worship of surf-rock and pop jangle. With this show of pure rock n’ roll about to hit Allston after months of snow, the kids will be all right.
