Not everyone was able to make it down to Goner Fest in Tennessee recently but that doesn’t mean we don’t deserve a taste! Descend those secret stairs into the dark underbelly of the Cantab Lounge where Illegally Blind and Boston Hassle are holding hands and welcoming you to our own little noise punk fest…expensive beer and merch not included, just like the real thing! But seriously though, lets get down to business. Fucking NOTS have come all this way to slap us with their psychoactive, frenetic garage punk. With choruses that resemble tribal chants and edgy guitar that lists back and forth along line between punk and synth fueled noisey space pop. Naturally, joining them on this tiny Bohemian stage is the abrasive funk punk of (New England) Patriots cuz fuck football, long live rock n’ roll! Plus static charged, lo-fi punk duo Ursula will scare the shit out of you with their confrontational aesthetic and garage popsters Germ House keep it on the straight and narrow. You may think I just described a couple different shows….think again friends, cuz that’s all going down at the same place TONIGHT. So why not do what everyone does and leave that homework until Sunday at midnight. It’s Friday kids, and that means it’s time to get out and see a show, so why not go to the best one around.
