World-renowned dancer, choreographer, and author Twyla Tharp will speak at Cambridge Rindge & Latin High School as part of Lesley University’s Creativity Forum. Twyla Tharp has choreographed over 160 works which have appeared on Broadway and in film and television. She’s won numerous awards, including a Tony Award and two Emmys, and has choreographed works for the Joffrey Ballet, The Paris Opera Ballet, The Royal Ballet in London, New York City Ballet, Boston Ballet, and many others. Her work reflects a broad range of styles from jazz to ballet, (and even boxing). Tharp has also written an autobiography, Push Comes to Shove, and two books on the creative process: The Creative Habit and The Collaborative Habit. This event is free and open to the public.
