When longtime collaborators and buddies Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez team up, you can say it’s gonna be interesting with almost certainty. At least that was the case in 1996 when Tarantino wrote and Rodriguez directed the gangster/vampire pic From Dusk Till Dawn, a genre mashup that’s probably unlike anything you’ve seen before. On the run from the law, the Gecko brothers Seth and Richard (George Clooney and Tarantino) head to Mexico in hopes of escape. After kidnapping a road tripping family (Harvey Keitel and Juliette Lewis), the brothers hide out for a spell at an upscale establishment known as the Titty Twister. Too bad they’re on the main course, suckered by a cabal of vamps looking for an easy meal, along with a biker named Sex Machine (Tom Savini). I can’t make this up, go see it on the big screen.
