Are you serious, or at least curious, about the local state of the art in unconventional film? Then sally north, cineaste, to beautiful downtown Beverly for XUBDUED Light, a week of twice-nightly screenings of local (or semi-local), recent (or semi-recent), experimental (or who-the-hell-can-really-say) cinema hosted by Montserrat College of Art as part of its summer series of “pop-up” exhibitions and events. The selections, representing a variety of formats and stylistic approaches, all emerged from the AgX Boston Film Collective and were curated by AgX founder and Montserrat professor Ethan Berry.
