After opening your presents get ready to hold on to your horses, Quentin Tarantino is releasing his next opus just in time for the merry Christmas holiday and it’s shaping up to be another showstopper. Sometime following the Civil War, a bounty hunter (Kurt Russel) is escorting a fugitive (Jennifer Jason Leigh) across Wyoming to be hanged. But, mother nature has different plans in mind as a blizzard forces the uncommon duo to take shelter in a cabin with a whole host of suspicious characters. With names like “The Confederate” (Bruce Dern), “The Bounty Hunter” (Samuel L. Jackson), “The Little Man” (Tim Roth) and “The Cow Puncher” (Michael Madsen), you know things are going to get interesting. To top it off the Coolidge Corner Theatre as well as the Somerville Theatre will be screening the film in epic 70mm so you can soak up all that glorious Western dramatics in high resolution. Giddyup.
