He uses an amplified/prepared cello and a self-built electronic instrument for electroacoustic improvisation. Collaborators have included Greg Kelley\, Bhob Rainey\, Liz Tonne\, Seijiro Murayama\, Sean Meehan\, and Jason Lescalleet. Visiting artist/teaching residencies have included Oberlin Conservatory\, MIT\, Harvard\, UC Berkeley\, UC Davis\, Princeton\, Dartmouth\, Wesleyan\, among many others. He has performed throughout the US and in Europe\, and recently performed the premiere of an Alvin Lucier composition. \nVic’s current film\, Linefork\, is a collaboration with Jeff Silva and Ernst Karel (Sensory Ethnography Lab) and features the legendary Kentucky banjo player Lee Sexton. This immersive feature-length film recently premiered at Visions du Réel and BAFICI.
