Following some sort of cataclysm\, the tenants of an apartment building in France try to get by in a world where the scarcity of food turns it into a form of currency. In order to make sure his business never closes\, a local butcher lures the unemployed seeking work to his shop whereupon he “adds” them to the meat for sale. When a down on his luck circus clown comes strolling in\, the butcher assumes he has another victim. Too bad his daughter has the hots for the clown.
