Illegally blind is once again grabbing our attention and starting off 2016 with a continued push to highlight not only AMAZING national and international acts but also the best home grown tunes Beantown has to offer. In what has become their stomping grounds, Jason Trefts and crew bring together some experimental metallic space rock for us TONIGHT at Middle East Up. Attending a show here is intimate, yes I said it. The space fits like just over 100 people and creates a decidedly “non venue” vibe. It’s the perfect environment to get up close and personal with one of Boston’s tightest new bands DENT. The quartet’s other worldly brand of post metal fueled punk is jagged, abrasive, and demands your gaze. They’re laying down their loud-quiet-loud thunderstorms alongside post-indie noise poppers Gamma Pope. Plus the friendly multi-instrumental jams of Boston’s sway inducing Bat House and bubbly punkers Big Boy Club. There’s something about that dirty water that keeps producing mind bending rock bands in this city and tonight is a straight up showcase of some blossoming local talent you’re sure to be hearing more about in the coming months. So come on out and show your support!
